Course Fees and Duration
Below you will find information regarding the fees you can expect to pay and course start times.
Fee: Sep 07 £12000.Two starting periods September/October and January/February
Course length: 40 weeks.
Four of these weeks are “break” weeks when I am not present but I will have left you with enough work for the week. It is the first real experience of working on your own. For those students who are here with families it is possible to take a week’s holiday if you choose.
The workshop is closed for two weeks at Christmas and for six weeks late July to end of August.
Tools cost: £1,500 approx.
Timber cost: £500 approx.
depending on choice of wood and size of piece.
The course is covered by a written contract and a place secured with a £3,000 deposit.
For those who would like to have a follow-up year at Ashridge, their own space , the use of all machines
and the occasional word of advice from me while working at their own work, whether it be first commissions or
perhaps building a portfolio of work , we can come to an arrangement if space permits. The far west workshop
is usually empty either for this purpose or for overflow when students have started late and overlap the start
of a term.
General rental figure £4000 for twelve months depending how much tuition wanted.
